First steps

Jacob took 3 steps tonight all by himself! Way to go Jacob!!!

Tunnel time

Jacob got a tunnel for Christmas this year. He loves to crawl through it. He especially loves when someone is at the other end and can play peek-a-boo and then he crawls as fast as he can to try to get you.

Mr. B

My parents had to put down our family dog Buddy today. He was 13.5 years old. We have had him since he was about 2. I had to say my good byes last night via Skype, which was really hard. My parents made it a good last night for Mr. B though. He got all of his favorite treats, even his own bowl of popcorn and some cheese.
We will miss you Buddy, see you in heaven some day big guy.

blueberries

Somebody loves his blueberries! He tries to shovel them in his mouth handfuls at a time. My goodness they are a mess though.

Portland/KC trip

Since Kirk had to work Christmas and only had a few days off for New Years, he stayed home while Jacob and I headed off to visit both sides of the family. First, we headed to Washougal, WA to visit my family. We enjoyed seeing my sister Stacey and brother-in-law Allan. We also got to spend time with Jackson and saw Matt and Jen once they were over their colds. Jacob had a great time visiting with everyone and I got a nice break and some help chasing him around!

My cousin Claire with Jacob.

Crazy mohawk man after his bath!

Me and Mr. Jackson. He looked so cute in his flannel shirt and jeans. Such a stylish little guy!

Me, mom and Stacey. It was so great to spend some time with them!

Jake and his Grammie.

Hammin it up for the camera!

After spending 9 days in WA, Jacob and I headed off to Kansas City to spend time with Kirk's family. I hadn't been able to meet my sweet niece Eva yet, so it was so nice to spend some time with her. She is such a sweet baby girl. We were able to see one of Clint and Connor's high school basketball games. There were actually games scheduled every night, but a snow storm moved in and the rest were cancelled. One of the good things was that the boys school was cancelled, so we were able to spend more time with them! Jacob loved playing with his uncles and new cousin. Kirk was able to get off of work and flew in on Monday evening to surprise everyone. He was only there for a few days, but it was very nice that he was able to see his family and spend some time with them.

Uncle Keith and Jacob.

Beautiful momma and baby.

Such a sweet little girl. She is so happy and was giving us the biggest smiles and cooing away.

Kirk meeting Eva for the first time.

Kirk surprising his mom!

Grandaddy and his grandkids.

It was very challenging to get a picture of both kiddos together. This is the best I could do.

Wild man. He doesn't want to sit still to get his clothes on. We have a wrestling match with every diaper change and bath time!

Mom's and babies. Jake and Eva will have so much fun playing together once they are a little older.

Grandad and Jacob.

Jacob loves tickle time!!!

Grandmother Leslie playing with Eva.

Whew!! We were gone for almost 2 weeks. It was so much fun to spend time with everyone, but it feels very good to be home again!

News!!!

My sister Stacey and her husband Allan are expecting their first baby in August! Kirk and I are very excited to have another nephew/niece!! Congrats Stacers and Allan!!!!
